I’m a Utah native who has been influenced by the amazing beauty that encompasses the state in all directions. The desert is as appealing to me as the rivers and the highest verdant mountain ranges. I love the creative process of finding that which is often unnoticed or overlooked and painting my interpretation of the place. As a lover of the wondrous outdoors, the inspiration for many of my paintings comes from trips I take, backpacking, hiking, or kayaking. My paintings fulfill my need to create expressions of a scene which a photo does not capture--like the freshness of clean mountain air, the wind blowing through tall grass, the beauty of wild flowers, or a bird flying freely with no restraints. Painting is like a puzzle that needs solving. When the pieces fit together, I know I have succeeded.

I’ve been drawing and painting since elementary school and have taken art classes at the U of U and through several private art instructors. I have been juried into many art shows and sold paintings at various art fairs around Salt Lake City. I have paintings in many private and business collections. Currently, I’m focused on painting with oils, but feel equally at home with watercolors.Graduating with an MBA has given me a unique perspective of art as a business and yet my passion is my artistic drive within. In June of 2017, I was selected as the Artist of the Month by the Holladay Arts Council and featured in the Holladay City Journal. Additional art work can be seen at
