Paintings by Kristina Lenzi
Reception: Sat, Nov 11, 4pm
Abstract expressionism, Utah landscapes and science fiction inform this recent body of paintings. I work from within, and I try to convey my sense of various Utah landscapes through abstract painting. I then impose a distraction that gives these expressions an otherworldly feeling. In many of them, spheres act as aliens. Others get a turquoise thread of paint, perhaps water and some evidence of alien life.
Ultimately, I want the viewer to take a subjective point of view and interpret these works from their personal perspective. Whatever response is elicited for you is the right answer!
The paintings you see lined up in a series have the ability to singularly stand alone and may be purchased as such. Please see the desk for a price list.
