A Study Of Multiple Exposure
Photography by Rachel Johanna Glaittli
Reception: Thu, Aug 3, 7pm
I have always been fascinated by layered photographs and have been experimenting with them since the beginning of my photography career. My latest series of photographs explores the layers of human emotion, using layered digital images to illustrate how humans interact with and are affected by their emotions.
Born in Philadelphia and raised all over the place, including Chicago and Minnesota, Rachel has pretty much always known she wanted to be an artist when she “grew up”. She moved to the desert to attend the University of Utah and in 2008 graduated with a Bachelors in Fine Art with an emphasis in Photography and Digital Imaging. She has worked in the field ever since, specializing mainly in product photography and creating fine art series.
With more than 10 years of photography experience, Rachel has styling, lighting, and editing expertise and is excellent at meeting a client's needs. Currently, she works as the Lead Photographer for a big crafting company, which has afforded her the opportunity to create photographs for amazing companies like Michael's craft stores and Target as well as run a photography department, create and grow a studio, and mentor other photographers. When she's not working with clients, Rachel loves to work on personal fine art series and has participated in a handful of shows over the years.
